I'm supposed to put my awesome tagline here, but I don't have one.

Dude, Where’s My ______?

We took the Connected peeps to Pharaoh’s Lost Kingdom today.

It seems like everyone left something behind at one point or another today.

After we got all our stuff and got up to leave, there was a white shirt left on one of the lounge chairs that we used.  Someone said it was Dominique’s.

I picked it up to give back to him.

De’Quan couldn’t find his phone.  He came back to the van to look for it, since he had ridden in the van on the way to Pharaoh’s.  It wasn’t in the back trunk with all of his other stuff.  He left to go ride home in Matt’s car.

On the freeway, Tin called to ask again if De’Quan’s phone was in the van.  Rachel said it was in the front seat.  Apparently, she had said something earlier, but none of us had heard her when we were in the back, so we didn’t know.

We made plans to go drop it off on the way home.

Then, at Nick’s house, we dropped off Nick, Joey, and Michelle.  We had to wait for Nick to change out of the trunks he had borrowed from Matt.  While Nick was in the house, Michelle found a phone laying on the seat in the van.  It was Nick’s.

She got out and brought it in with her.

Then Nick came back out with the trunks.  He started looking for his car keys in the van, then in Forest (who now lives at their house.)

I don’t think he found them—at least not while we were still there.

THEN Michelle came back out to the van to look for her phone.

It turned out to be in her purse, which Joey was holding on the front porch.

(Rachel and I made it a point to rub in the fact that we knew where our phones and keys were.)

I stopped at De’Quan’s house on the way home, where Matt and De’Quan were waiting.  I gave De’Quan his phone, PLUS a few other things that he had left in the van:  a white bandana, a bag of barbeque chips, and a couple of CDs that De’Quan had left in the van months before, but I found this weekend in the van’s glove compartment.*

THEN, when I got home, I found a bag was left in the trunk of the van.  A few minutes later, I got a text from Aubre saying she left her bag in the van.

She’s coming by tomorrow to get it.

Sigh.

I love the Connected peeps, but I don’t think I’ll ever ask them to hold on to something for me.

It was pretty funny, though.

*Side note:  I had given the CDs back to him this morning before church so I wouldn’t forget about it.  He said he had been looking for them for a long time.  Later, I found them laying on the counter in the kitchen in the back after church, so I handed them to him again.  Really, I shouldn’t have been surprised that he had left them behind a third time…

EDIT:  I’ve just been informed that Joey left his pants in the trunk of Matt’s car.  And here I thought Joey did a good job for not being one of the people who forgot something.  (Tia and Andreu probably deserve a prize for being the only two who didn’t forget anything…)
