Tin and I went to go support Len as she did her run today at the Color Me Rad 5K.  We had some wait time throughout the morning.

I had the camera.

Tin:  Ooh, TJ, take a picture of me at the starting line.

Me:  Okay.  Get down like you’re on the starting blocks.

She got down…but it didn’t look like she was in the starting position.  All she did was laugh.

We walked over to the finish line to wait for Len.

Tin:  Man, you’re right.  It would have been a good idea to bring a camping chair.  I’ll just sit on the ground here in the shade.

She sat down with her legs straight out.

Then she tried to sit Indian style.

She couldn’t do it.  Her legs were barely bent.

At the end of the race, when people would reach the finish line, the Color Bomb volunteers would throw colored powder at the runners.  It created a cloud of dust that made it hard to see the next set of runners coming.

Tin:  I can’t see if Len’s coming! … Oh, I know.  I’ll go up ahead there a little bit.  Then, when I see her coming, I’ll run back to let you know so that you could be ready to take her picture.

Me:  Uh, Tin?  Let’s think about that for a moment.  Do you really think you’re going to beat Len back to the finish line?

Tin:  Oh…
