Conversation with Dad, Tin, and Matt
We were watching a match on the Tennis Channel. Matt and Dad were talking about the quality of the different tennis courts around us.
Dad (to Matt): You know where you should play? (To me) Is that the senior center where we used to play?
Me: You mean the community center?
Matt: Are you talking about the one off of Lugonia? That’s the YMCA. I called there once. You have to pay to play…or get a membership there. And it’s not like you can bring a friend in. They have to pay, too.
Dad: You’re supposed to pay?
Me: Oh. We always just walked in. The gate was unlocked. We didn’t know. Oops.
Matt: I’ve heard that the courts at the University of Redlands are really nice.
Me: Oh, I walked by there last week. You have to be a student, alumni, or faculty to play there. I guess you would need an ID or something.
Dad: You want to go down to Alvarado?
Tin: Whoa! You want to go get some fake IDs?
Me: What? We’re going to do this like Neal Caffrey? Watch out!
Dad: We’ve been watching too much White Collar.
