13 Going On 30...
I got my new drivers license today. It looks different. They emboss the numbers of your birthdate on your picture, which made me feel like an inmate.
It looks kind of cool, though. I would post a picture, but you don’t really need to see how much I weigh. I got my first license almost 13 years ago. Who knew that 13 years would equal an extra 30 pounds?
It's like Len knows the future...
Len just woke up and is now watching the Laker game in her room. I’m watching it in the loft right outside her room.
For some reason, the game shows in her room a second before it shows on the TV that I’m watching.
It’s funny to hear her yell at Lamar Odom to rebound the ball before anyone actually shoots the ball…or to tell someone “Good job!” when no one...
I just turned on the Laker game. What’s up with the green shoes? Not a fan…of the shoes, I mean.
Jesus, I'm hungry...
I heard a new church song yesterday, and I liked it. I was listening to it while I ate my breakfast in my room this morning. When I was done eating, I walked down the stairs with my empty plate, and I was singing the chorus. Tin was vacuuming downstairs.
Me (singing): “Jesus, I’m hungry…”
Tin (turning off the vacuum): Did you just tell Jesus that you were hungry?

Some Alone Time
I’m almost never at home by myself. Usually there is someone around the house doing something. This morning, everyone else was gone at one point for a little while. Then, in the late afternoon, everyone else was out. Tin and Matt were about ready to leave.
Me (yelling in the house like I was excited): What? You mean I’m going to be home alone two times in one day?
Tin...

Want to learn web stuff for free? That’s what this is, I think…
Good food + good company + lots of laughing = a great time! Thanks, Carolyn! =)

Apparently everyone’s all excited about Tron, so I thought I’d pass this along…
Last Day of School and Winter Break Homework
“Chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool and shootin’ some b-ball outside of the school…”
That’s what I put up today as the homework for winter break. Today was the last day of school before vacation.
During class, I asked students if they knew what TV show that was from, and I offered them chocolate if they could sing the whole theme song.
2nd...
Note to Self by Pictory →
I just thought this was interesting. People took a picture that captured something about their life. I liked reading the little captions under them.

Done!
Just finished writing my 500 word final exam paper…which turned out to be about 860 words. Am I the queen of fluff or what?
Now I just have to go tomorrow night to get my portfolio back for my printing class, and I’ll be really done! Yay!
The Elements of Math →
This description is from Frank Chimero’s web site (http://blog.frankchimero.com/post/2192456624/the-two-best-things-on-the-web-2010):
From January to May of this year, Steven Strogatz (who you may know from his appearances on Radiolab) wrote a series for the New York Times’ opinion blog called The Elements of Math. Strogatz describes the foundations of math in a lucid and fun style. It’s...
Taboo!
We had our Connected Christmas party at Rach H’s house this afternoon, and we played Taboo. If you’ve never played it before, here’s how it works: You are trying to get your team to guess a word on a card, but you can’t say the word or the 5 other closely-related words listed on the card. The more cards you go through in a minute, the more points you get.
It was pretty...
Figgy Pudding
At the women’s Christmas luncheon.
Len: Hey, do you guys know what figgy pudding is?
Tin: Figgy pudding? I’ve never even heard of it.
Len: It’s from that song. You know… (singing) “Oh, bring us some figgy pudding… Oh, bring us some figgy pudding…”
Tin: Oh, I never knew what they said when they sang that. I always just hummed there. ...
